DGBN is an international rating system for sustainable construction developed by the German Sustainable Building Council (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen). DGBN certification confirms the high value of a building in terms of environmental, economic and social factors.
It is currently the most popular multi-criteria certification system in Germany. Due to its compliance with EU legislation, it is increasingly used throughout Europe.
DGNB certification is characterized by a holistic view of the three most important aspects of building design and use: ecology, economics and social issues. The system takes into account the entire life cycle of a building.
In addition, the documentation produced for this certification system makes it possible to determine compliance with the EU taxonomy.
